Passengers Slide Out Of Plane For Emergency Landing In Charleston (VIDEO)

No passenger injuries were reported on board the plane after an emergency landing due to reports of smoke in the cockpit.

CHARLESTON, SC — Passengers on board a Jet Blue flight headed from New York to Florida were forced to evacuate the plane in South Carolina Friday after the crew reported smoke in the cockpit, authorities said.

The flight, which took off from White Plains, New York, and was headed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, landed safely at Charleston International Airport at around 10:30 a.m., the FAA said. Passengers were evacuated via the emergency chutes and were bused to the terminal.

In a statement, JetBlue said no injuries were reported to any of the passengers or the crew.

The FAA said the incident is under investigation.
