State Champs! Academic Magnet Wins AA Title on PKs
The Academic Magnet High School girls' soccer team defeated Christ Church Episcopal on Friday afternoon in Gilbert.

Update: After two halves of regulation, four OTs and five PKs, the girls' AA soccer title match between Academic Magnet and Christ Church was still tied.
But when Christ Church missed and Academic Magnet nailed a subsequent PK, the Raptors won the AA state title Friday afternoon in Gilbert.

Original story: The Academic Magnet Women's Soccer Team is playing for its second state title in three years today, and its opponent is a familiar one.
For the past three years the same two teams have met in the AA Women's Soccer State Championship game — Academic Magnet and Christ Church. The Raptors won the 2011 game, but Christ Church took the title last year.
