Third Arrest Announced in Meeting Street Murder
One person was killed and two others injured in a July 14 shooting on Meeting Street.

A trio of Charleston men have been charged in connection with a July 14 murder on Meeting Street, according to the Charleston Police Department.
Police arrested Omary Rashard Kornickey, 21, of King Street, on Wednesday evening and charged him with murder and attempted murder, according to a CPD statement.
Two other Charleston men had also already been charged in the case. Brian Ancrum, 23 of Tripe Street, and Glendell Gladden, Jr., 29, of West Ashley were both charged with murder on July 14, shortly after a 2 a.m. shooting at 420 Meeting St. that left three people injured. One of the victims later died at MUSC.Â
An additional charge of attempted murder has been filed against both Ancrum and Gladden, according to the statement.
Charleston Police responded to 420 Meeting St., at 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 14 after receiving reports of gunshots in the area. They learned from a crowd gathered at the location that three people had been shot and transported to area hospitals in private vehicles.Â
