Three Suspects Charged in King Street Grocery Robbery

Police allege the robbery was an inside job, charging a now former employee

Charleston Police announced the arrest of a third suspect in the June 5 armed robbery of King Street Grocery on Tuesday.

Daniel Myers, 23, of Read Street, North Charleston, is charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, according to a police statement.

Two other men allegedly connected to the crime had been charged in the weeks following the armed robbery at 435 King St. Chris Jamal Rickenbacker, 25, of Marlboro Place, North Charleston, was charged with armed robbery on July 3, and Antwan Dominique Bowman, 24, of Orange Grove Road, was charged with armed robbery and obstruction of justice on July 8, according to the statement.

Bowman was an employee at King Street Grocery on June 5, when the robbery occurred. Investigators allege he planned the robbery with Rickenbacker and Myers, and the obstruction charge stems from Bowman allegedly providing false statements and withholding information from police, according to the statement.
