Weekend Checkpoint Catches 9 DUIs
Officers stopped drivers on Folly Road overnight Saturday.
A weekend driver's license checkpoint set up by several area law enforcement agencies caught nine people allegedly driving drunk.
The checkpoint was set up overnight Saturday and Sunday on Folly Road near Sol Legare Road by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, the Charleston Police Department, Folly Beach Public Safety and the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Officers wrote out 32 citations and 12 written warnings in addition to the nine DUI's according to a CCSO statement.
