What Should Go Here: 80 Ashley Ave.
Coming out of the Great Recession empty storefronts are pretty common, but we want to know what Patch.com users want to see fill those empty business properties
This commercial building at the corner of Ashley Avenue and Wentworth Street hasn't been occupied by anyone in a long, long time.
The building with detailed brickwork was never a home, though it sits in the middle of a residential zone downtown, so there may be zoning issues and variance requests to deal with, but it could be great spot for a small neighborhood cafe.
It is one of very few pieces of property in this section of the peninsula with its own surface parking lot. Regardless of what type of business moves in though, the property will need a lot of work to bring it up to a usable state.
So the question is what should go here?
