Coming out of the Great Recession empty storefronts are pretty common, but we want to know what Patch.com users want to see fill those empty business properties

The past several years have been tough on all kinds of businesses.

The Fazoli's in Westwood Plaza on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard is one of the recent casualties of the lackluster economy. Now if you want Italian food at a drive-thru you have to drive to Columbia first.

The restaurant is also one more long-time tennant to leave Westwood Plaza in recent years, leaving yet another vacant business property on one of the busiest roads in the West Ashley area.

Despite a handful of vacant storefronts, Westwood Plaza still has Barnes & Noble, Office Depot, T.J. Maxx, a Bank of America branch and Moe's pulling steady traffic into the shopping center, the right concept in this location could capitalize on a significant portion of that traffic.
