Easley Man Killed in Moped Accident Saturday

Roy Alderman, 25, pronounced dead at Baptist Easley following collision

An Easley man is dead after an accident that took place on Saturday.

Roy Alderman, Jr., 25, of 302 North 2nd Street, Easley, was pronounced dead after the accident, according to Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley.

Kelley said the accident occurred at the intersection of Hillcrest Drive and Fleetwood Drive Saturday evening.

Alderman was driving a moped. He ran a stop sign and struck a van, Kelley said.

He was pronounced dead at Baptist Easley Hospital, she said.

The Easley Police Department is investigating the accident.
