Only One Easley Race Contested So Far
Candidates wishing to be write-ins have until August 15 to declare intentions

Only one Easley city council race is contested, unless new candidates declare intentions to run as write-in candidates.
Incumbent Libby Dodson and Kent Dykes are vying to represent Ward 2 on Easley City Council.
Incumbent Kim Valentin faces no opposition for the Ward 4 seat.

Incumbent Dave Watson did not file for re-election for his Ward 6 seat. Jim Robinson has filed to represent Ward 6.
Eric Goodwin has filed to become an Easley Combinied Utilities Commissioner.

According to the Pickens County Office of Registrations and Elections, residents wishing to run as write-in candidates have until noon on Thursday, August 15 to declare their intentions to run to the city clerk.
If no write-in candidates appear, both Valentin and Robinson, as the only candidates, will take the seats for Wards 4 and 6 respectively and Goodwin will become an ECU Commissioner.
Municipal Elections are slated for Tuesday, November 5.
