YMCA Offering “A Quest for Authentic Manhood”

9-week studies will focus on bringing men into the vital roles God has planned for them.

In our society, we all see the decline of the biblical role of the husband, father and of the man in general. Moreover, for the men that are trying to follow Christ, most do not have a clear understanding of what it means to be a man in God’s eyes. It is our pleasure to let you know about a special program that the Y is offering the men in our community.

The Y is excited to offer a 9 week study called, “Men’s Roundtable, A Quest for Authentic Manhood”. This 9 week study will focus on calling men out of their comfort zone into the vital role and responsibilities that God designed them for in the body of believers and in their homes.

Why is the YMCA doing this?

The Y’s core purpose for over 150 years is to build a stronger society for Christ.  The Y does well in building physical health in order to better serve Christ.  We also do well in youth development.  But when looking at our mission, to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all, we want to provide an opportunity to learn what it means to follow Christ as a man. It’s important to note that the Y is not a church. We are a service provider. This study can be viewed as a simple community bible study. Nothing more.
