Put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him. And beyond all these things put on love which is the perfect bond of unity. And let the peace of Christ dwell in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.

Stand perfect and fully assured in the will of God. Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.
2 Corinthians 1:4
God comforts us in our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves have been comforted by God.
1 John 4:16
God is love.
There will always be someone in your life that you wish would act differently. If that person is someone that you don’t particularly like, it’s not such a big deal because you don’t care enough about them for it to matter one way or another. But if that person is someone whom you really love, it’s so much trickier, because you care. You want them to be happy and at peace because you love them so much that your heart can’t rest until they are. Or, you might want them to make a certain change or decision that would cause them to be different then they are, in feelings, location, or condition, because it would make it easier for them or for you. But here’s the thing: God wants you to be loving and supportive with everyone. That’s because God is Love and He wants you to act as a reflection of that love to the people He has specifically placed in your life at this time. God encourages and comforts you so that you will in turn comfort others. You can never change another person’s basic nature, bend them to your will, make their decisions, or live their lives for them. All you can do is accept them for what they are, not how you wish they would be and treat them in a kindly manner while they share this portion of their journey with you. And when it’s time for them to make a move in their life or change in some way, they will work that out with God. Your job is to love them and let go of the outcome. Because God is love and so are you.
