If you've tried to launch your boat on the Cooper River side of Bushy Park, you might have run into a few issues.
In April, Berkeley County Council approved a $58,200 feasibility study to look at dredging options for the site, the Post and Courier reported.
“As far as being functionally closed, it’s essentially that way now at times,” Berkeley County Engineer Frank Carson told the Post and Courier. “Somebody not familiar with the waterway is going to get stuck in the mud. It’s a problem, and a lot of people recognize that, but there’s not an easy solution for it.”
