County Detention Officer Charged with Assault on Inmate
SLED arrests Thomas Justin Mims for an alleged assault on an inmate.
A Berkeley County Detention Center officer has been accused of assaulting an inmate and was arrested by SLED, Live 5 News reported.
SLED arrested Thomas Justin Mims, 28, after they say he punched an inmate in the face in August. He is charged with third-degree assault.
