Drugs, Weapons Seized in Rutt Lane Raid

Four people arrested; two people sought by law enforcement.

A lengthy investigation, involving several undercover drug purchases by narcotics agents, culminated in the arrests of four people and the seizure of a sizeable quantity of cocaine, cocaine base (also known as crack) and marijuana, along with marijuana plants, on Friday afternoon.

Agents with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Goose Creek Police Department and the Charleston County Sheriff’s Off Aeronautical Unit, executed search warrants at two residences on Rutt Lane, near Goose Creek.

Rutt Lane is off of Howe Hall Road, between Red Bank Road and Henry E. Brown Boulevard. 

Two suspects, Ricky Rutledge and Larry Donell Williams, were arrested at 341 Rutt Lane. and charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Cocaine Base (Crack), Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Manufacturing Marijuana and two counts of Distribution near a School. 

Priscilla Renee Baylock and Darvis Armond Baylock of 346 Rutt Lane. were both charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Distribution near a School, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime, Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

In addition to a total of 44 grams of Cocaine, 57 grams of Cocaine Base, 139 grams of marijuana and 11 marijuana plants agents also seized eight firearms, four handguns and four shotguns. One of the handguns was reported stolen out of Summerville.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Marcus McBride, 51, who has four outstanding warrants and James Reese, 21, who has two Outstanding warrants. See their pictures attached to this story.
