Marrington Elementary School Bids a Fond Farwell to their Fabulous Fifth Grade.

Marrington Elementary School said a Fond Farwell to their Fabulous Fifth Grade.  On Friday, May 30, Mrs. Katie Lamb and Mrs. Jan Nutt’s 5th grade classes participated in a Promotion Ceremony.  The cafeteria was decorated in Red, White and Blue!  This was particularly appropriate since Marrington Elementary School is predominantly composed of children from Military Families.  There were many special guests including Kathy Schwalbe, who in addition to being a Berkeley County School Board Member and the Director of the Office of Student Services, Certification, and Human Performance at the College of Charleston, is the mother of MNE 5th grade teacher Katie Lamb.  Dr. Renard Harris, Professor at the College of Charleston was the inspiring guest speaker.  The program concluded with the Recognition of 5th grade Honors and Promotion and a final Welcome to the Rising 6th Graders!
