Obituary: Robert "Robi" Truel, Former Trident Medical Nurse

Robert "Robi" Walter Truel, 52, of Summerville, passed away Dec. 13, 2012.

Born in Navato, Calif., he was the son of Lee Truel and Josephine Branham and husband to Tammy Roland Truel. Mr. Truel worked as an ER/Critical Care Nurse for many years at Trident Medical Center and Baker Hospital. He was awarded the Person of the Year by the Summerville JC's. Robi was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan and loved watching them play with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Roland Truel of the home; daughter, Hayley Truel of the home; father, Lee Truel of Camden and Josephine Branham of Camden.

A celebration of Robi's life will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, 869 St. James Avenue. The family will receive friends prior from 1-2 p.m.
