To Have A Better Day And Calm Your Spirit, Start By Asking God What He Wants

Romans 8:38

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,  nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God.

Psalms 139:16,23

Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Thy book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.

Matthew 6:33, 34

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow.”

Proverbs 3:5, 6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

A lot of people have a misguided notion that God is somehow like Santa Claus: a distant figure that is constantly watching to see if you are naughty or nice, then depending on how good you are, gives you coal or presents. Well, in one sense, God is like Santa Claus because His eyes are always on you.   But God isn’t looking to see how good or bad you are. He watches because He loves you and wants what is best for you; and nothing you can do will ever change that. Long before you were even born, God knew how your life would go.  He created you to accomplish something very specific.  That’s why whether you life is tricky or thrilling, start off each day by saying, “God take this day and make it the way You want it to be.  Help me to say the words that You would have me to say, and make the decisions that You want me to make.”  That way, you don’t miss your moment or your blessing. Don’t accept a rhinestone, when God has a diamond for you; which simply means that when you don’t involve God in your choices and relationships, they will never be what they are supposed to be. Without God directing your life, you may be on an OK path, making OK decisions, but you will never be on the best road. Having God directing your path simplifies so many things.  Life can be so overwhelming when you don’t know what is going to happen.  But when you keep repeating your silent prayer of asking God to make your day and your life the way that He would have it to be, you can always be assured that you will get the best results and fulfill your destiny.
