Electric City Playhouse and the Actually True Tale of Good Causes
Electric City Playhouse presents "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood" and features local non-profit Upstate Forever
Electric City Playhouse (ECP) in Anderson is celebrating its 35th year of arts education and entertainment. To acknowledge the importance of the Anderson community in ECP's history, ECP is working to "give back" to the community by partnering with a variety of local non-profit organizations through its "Season of Gratitude".
ECP's partners thus far have included Calvary Home for Children, Battle Buddies, Habitat for Humanity, and Anderson PAWS. Additionally, ECP held an Ivey's Cookies bake sale to raise funds for Summer Theatre Workshop scholarships, plus featured the new work of two local writers in "Life's Stages".
Continuing the “Season of Gratitude”, ECP has selected Upstate Forever (www.upstateforever.org) as the featured local non-profit for the upcoming production of "The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood" by Mary Lynn Dobson.
