Electric City Playhouse Kicks Off "Season of Gratitude"
Anderson theatre celebrating 35 years with community engagement

Electric City Playhouse in Anderson is celebrating its 35th Anniversary. In addition to a holding a celebratory Gala on February 9, Electric City Playhouse (ECP) has dedicated its 2019 Season of community theatre as a "Season of Gratitude".
As a 501(c)3 organization, Electric City Playhouse relies upon the efforts of volunteers and local businesses to stage multiple shows and community engagement activities each year. By partnering with local charitable organizations, ECP is striving to give back to the community as a "Thank you" for 35 years of support.
Opening the "Season of Gratitude" is the musical "Tuck Everlasting" which is on stage from January 25 to February 3. For this production, ECP will host the young people and houseparents of Calvary Home for Children in Anderson at a rehearsal of the show. Calvary Home "provides help, hope, and home to abused and neglected children" (calvaryhome.org).

Like ECP, Battle Buddies is a 501(c)3 organization working in the Anderson area. Battle Buddies co-founder Jo Anne Creed is scheduled to attend the opening night of "1959 Pink Thunderbird", with Battle Buddies volunteers on-site at the Playhouse during the show matinees. "1959 Pink Thunderbird" is on stage from March 22 to March 31.
