Hurricane Irma South Carolina: Clemson Cancels Classes
BREAKING: Clemson University canceled classes Monday in preparation for Hurricane Irma.
CLEMSON, SC — Hurricane Irma has its sights set on South Carolina and Clemson University is closing its doors.
The university announced on its website Sunday night that all day and evening classes, offices and activities will be canceled Monday. A tropical storm warning and a hurricane watch was in effect along much of the South Carolina coast, as the central swath of the Palmetto State was under a flash flood watch and high wind watch, according to National Weather Service forecasters
Residential students should follow @ClemsonHome and @ClemsonDining on Twitter for updated hours of operation. University workers should not enter leave requests until after Irma passes and Human Resources can provide further guidance.
