Local Resident Brings No. 1 Flooring Franchise to Area

(SPARTANBURG, South Carolina)-The dreaming is the easy part. It’s fulfilling that dream that’s often the hard part, especially when the unthinkable happens. After working for more than three decades in family-owned businesses, Janet Rosman was ready to begin something new with her husband, Lawrence. “We talked about how it would be to own our own business,” Janet recalled. Unfortunately, as much as we would like, life doesn’t follow a script. Lawrence, her husband of thirty years, died unexpectedly in 2019. However, 49-year-old Janet persevered, and her resolve came full circle when she launched operations as a new franchise owner with Floor Coverings International.

“I wasn’t sure I would be strong enough to start a business on my own,” the Spartanburg resident said. “However, I was able to go forward with a lot of help from my friends, family and my community. I’m excited for my children to be a part of building a business and creating a legacy for them.” Rosman knew that her background, work ethic and integrity would provide the foundation for her success as she visits customers’ homes in a Mobile Flooring Showroom stocked with thousands of flooring samples from top manufacturers. Rosman’s previous career was in sales, customer service, marketing and branding for consumer products, but after spending 11 years building a strong team and the processes to support them, Rosman was ready to direct the same energies toward a new endeavor. “I made the decision to leave my previous job because I enjoy building things from the ground up,” she said. “I was left feeling the need to dig in and get dirty building something new.” It helped that Rosman didn’t need an indoctrination into the home services industry since she had been around construction her entire life, either working with her dad or building and remodeling homes with Lawrence. “Floor Coverings International gave me the opportunity to use my construction knowledge and my love for design to help customers create a warm and inviting home for their families,” she said.
