"Soup's On!"
Electric City Playhouse looks to fill donation box for Good Neighbor Cupboard
It is a time when thoughts turn to good deeds and, as the temperatures dip, perhaps curling up with a mug of something warm. Electric City Playhouse in Anderson knows that while many people are dashing around to finish shopping for gifts, others in the community need assistance with the basics. It is with this in mind that Electric City Playhouse (ECP) is collecting canned soup and food donations during performances of "A Christmas Carol".
ECP is striving to fill their donation box for Good Neighbor Cupboard so if charitable giving is on your to-do list and you would enjoy a break for festive entertainment, please join ECP at one of the three remaining performances of Charles Dickens' timeless tale.
"A Christmas Carol" is presented in radio play format as adapted from the 1939 Christmas Eve Campbell Playhouse broadcast. In addition to the classic rendition of redemption and goodwill, Carolers will entertain with traditional holiday songs. Audiences are encouraged to attend the show dressed in late 1930s style.
