Theatre Farce Comes to Anderson in "Moon Over Buffalo"
Electric City Playhouse is presenting the Ken Ludwig show of comedic theatrical mayhem
Doors are slamming, pants won't stay on, Grandma can't hear, the leads are fighting, and the coffee tastes funny. Welcome to a show intentionally run amok as Electric City Playhouse (ECP) in Anderson presents the Ken Ludwig's farce, "Moon Over Buffalo".
As much of a play about loving theatre as it is lampooning it, "Moon Over Buffalo" sees mature actors Charlotte and George Hay struggling through uninspired repertory productions in Buffalo, New York. When they learn that a famous Hollywood director will be attending their matinee to scout talent for his film, they grasp at a last shot at stardom. In true Ludwig form, their chance at fame deteriorates into hilarious chaos when everything conceivable goes wrong during their show. Theatrical confusions, mistaken identities, clueless family, and romantic intrigues pile on in this madcap farce.
ECP's "Moon Over Buffalo" cast is: Patricia DeVroomen as Charlotte Hay; Will Douglas as Paul; Trae Dubay as Howard; DeAnna Gregory as Rosalind; Holly Moses as Eileen; Stephen Moses as Richard; Jim Rasheed as George Hay; Ila Tribble as Ethel.
