3 District 5 Soccer Teams Compete in Playoffs Saturday

Three boys soccer teams from Lexington-Richland 5 will play in the third round of playoffs Saturday.

In Class 4A, Irmo High School will host Northwestern at 7 p.m. 

The Yellow Jackets defeated Mauldin, 1-0, Thursday to advance to the third round.

Dutch Fork will travel to North Charleston to face Fort Dorchester High at 12 p.m.

The Silver Foxes defeated Wando Thursday with a 2-1 win.

In Class 3A, Chapin High will face Eastside High in Taylors at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, Chapin beat Walhalla 6-0. 

The Eagles have won the past 10 games and has not allowed a goal in the last seven games.

In other sports, the Chapin boys tennis team will face Socastee High in the Class 3A state championship Saturday.
