Chapin High Softball Coach Gets 100th Win

The team is 5-0 and currently ranked 5th in the state, according to a release.

Chapin High's softball coach Jason Jolley reached a milestone 100th win last Friday as the team defeated Lower Richland 14-1 to remain undefeated this season.

The team is 5-0 and currently ranked 5th in the state, heading into Friday's matchup against Camden.

Jolley has been the softball coach since 2009, earning a 100-21 record over five years. His outstanding run also has included four consecutive regional championships, but Coach Jolley says he's still pushing his team to take the next step.

"(We're) still looking for that elusive state title," Coach Jolley said.

The team has come close in recent years, twice reaching the Upper State Finals and once making it to the Lower State semifinal. On Friday, Coach Jolley and his team will be looking to get one step closer to achieving their goal of a state championship.
