Update: Irmo, Dutch Fork Take Home Wins

Irmo boys beat Spartanburg, 84-41; Dutch Fork girls top Sumter, 69-29.

UPDATE: Both Irmo boys and Dutch Fork girls teams will advance to the next round of playoffs.

Irmo beat Spartanburg, 84-41, improving the team's record to 26-0.

Dutch Fork also took home a win Monday night against Sumter.

The final score was 69-29. 

The Yellow Jackets will host South Pointe on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

The Lady Foxes (27-0) are up against Aiken High for the 4A Lower State Championship Friday night at 7 p.m. the Florence Civic Center. 

 

Original story: Basketball teams from Irmo and Dutch Fork high schools are taking the court tonight at 7 p.m. in Class 4A playoff games.

Irmo High's boys basketball team is playing against Spartanburg High at home.

The Yellow Jackets enter the second round of Class 4A playoffs with a perfect record of 25-0.

If Irmo wins tonight, the team will face South Pointe at home tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Dutch Fork's Lady Foxes traveled to Sumter for the quarterfinals. The defending state champion's record is 26-0.

Should Dutch Fork win, the team will face the winner of the West Ashley and Aiken game.
