Irmo's Dustin Johnson Wins PGA Opener

Johnson won over defending champion Steve Stricker at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii.

Dustin Johnson earned the first win of the PGA Tour season at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, according to a USA Today report.

The Irmo native closed with a 5-under 68 for a four-shot victory over the last year's champion Steve Stricker, the report said.

This is the sixth consective PGA Tour win for Johnson.
