Name of Man Killed in Shootout With Deputies Released

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of the subject that died Thursday, after a shootout with Richland County deputies on Broad River Road.

Watts said that 34-year-old Kong Nay of 3930 Broad River Road, Columbia, died at the scene of gunshot wounds.

The Coroner's Office has been unable to locate Nay's next-of-kin and is asking for anyone with information about Nay or his family to please contact the Richland County Coroners Office at 803-576-1799.
