New Housing Project Proposed for Ballentine Area?
The new housing project would be located across from Ballentine Elementary School.

Talk of a low-income housing project proposed for the Ballentine area is circulating through the community.
According to a post on the website of Rep. Nathan Ballentine, R-Richland, he said he received what appears to be a forwarded email from Richland County Councilman Bill Malinowski concerning low-income apartments proposed for land across from Ballentine Elementary School.Â
The email reads that Wendover Housing Partners, LLC of Altamonte Springs, FL, made a request for low-income housing tax credits to construct 56 units on a little over 3 acres across from the school. Read more here.
