Riverbanks Zoo: Free Admission to Federal Employees

Riverbanks Zoo & Garden is offering free admission for federal employees this week.

From Wednesday through Friday, employees of the federal government receive free admission to the zoo when they show their federal ID at the gate, according to a news release.

"Riverbanks appreciates the work of federal employees and is extending this complimentary admission offer in the midst of the partial government shutdown that has resulted in the furlough of hundreds of thousands of federal employees," the release said. 

Family members of federal employees will have to purchase tickets at the regular admission rate.

Zoo hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
