            The Upsilon Omega Omega of Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority, Irmo, SC held its annual Scholarship Program on May 17,
2014, at Irmo Town Hall. Upsilon Omega Omega presented three thousand five
hundred ($3500.00) dollars in scholarships to five (5) outstanding students
attending schools in Lexington Richland School District 5. The recipients of
these scholarships were Cayla Amodio, a senior at Dutch Fork High School; Mikayla
Prioleau, a senior at Chaplin High School; Bradley Quarles, a senior at Irmo
High School; Aria Robertson, a senior at Dutch Fork High School and Raven
Smith, a senior at Dutch Fork High School.



            Mayor Hardy King of Irmo, South
Carolina congratulated the students and encouraged each of them to continue their
educational journey through college with a positive attitude and to consider returning
to Irmo, South Carolina to make significant contributions to the community that
laid the foundation for their success.



            The recipients, their family and
friends and the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Upsilon Omega Omega
chapter were present for the scholarship presentations and enjoyed a brief
reception that followed.
