City of Cayce Opens Third Phase of Riverwalk
The trail stretches from the city's water intake facility on Old State Road to the Thomas Newman Boat Landing.

The third phase of the Cayce Riverwalk Park is officially open to the public.
City officials gathered Friday morning to celebrate the latest addition to the park: a 0.7-mile paved walking and biking with plenty of lighting and emergency call boxes.
The new parking lot at the entry of the third phase of the park is located beside the City of Cayce Raw Water Intake Facility on Old State Road. The third phase ends at the Thomas Newman Boat Landing.

Land for the $237,625 pathway was donated by SCANA and the Department of Natural Resources. The city also received a $100,000 grant from the S.C. Parks, Recreation and Tourism to offset the cost.
When all four phases of the Cayce Riverwalk are complete, it will be about 3.5 miles long. The city is now moving on to phase four, which is expected to open next year.
