A road repair crew returned Friday morning to U.S. 378 at U.S. 1, where a hole opened and swallowed a tow truck's tire this week.
A previous repair to the road earlier this week was ruined when a Shroeder's Towing truck became lodged in a hole at the intersection.
One lane of east-bound 378 is blocked at the intersection, so consider alternate routes if you're heading into Lexington.
