Family, Friends Pray for Missing Surfer from Lexington
Authorities have called off the search in the water near North Myrtle Beach.
A 19-year-old Lexington native has apparently drowned while surfing off the coast of North Myrtle Beach.
According to media reports, a young man was surfing with his brother around lunchtime Friday when the accident occured. His surfboard washed ashore but his body was not located. Authorities called off the search this morning.
His identify has not been confirmed by local officials.

However, friends on Twitter have identified the young man as Anderson Todd Estep, a former White Knoll High School student, according to his Facebook profile.
