Lexington High English Teacher Promoted to Administrator
Jacob Nelson will serve as an assistant administrator for the 2013-2014 school year.

A Lexington High English teacher is being promoted to assistant administrator at the school, Lexington County School District One announced recently.
The school board approved the promotion of Jacob Nelson at its June 25 meeting.
Nelson has five years of education experience and began his education career in 2008 as a teacher at Pickens High School in the School District of Pickens County.

He joined Lexington School District One in 2012 as a teacher at Lexington High School.
Nelson has a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education from Clemson University and receives a Master of Education in educational administration from the University of South Carolina this summer. He holds certifications in secondary education (English) and secondary school leadership.
