Lexington Medical Center Hosting 'Wine on the River'
The event will feature wine tasting, food and musical entertainment on the bank of the Congaree River.

Midlands residents can enjoy wine, food and music at the West Columbia Riverwalk this weekend.
The Lexington Medical Center Foundation’s Women of Hope will host Wine on the River from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday.
Surrounded by the beautiful sights and sounds along the Congaree River, Wine on the River features wine tasting, cuisine from Midlands restaurants and musical entertainment from Jim LeBlanc. The event benefits cancer services at Lexington Medical Center.
Sam’s Fine Wine and Spirits will provide a variety of red and white wines. Guests can also sample delicious food from local restaurants including Carolina Café, Café Strudel, Bogarts, Capital City Club, Catering by Dupre, Famously Frozen, 116 State, Alodia’s, Ms. B’s and Travinia’s.
In addition, attendees can learn how to join Women of Hope, a women’s giving circle that is part of the Lexington Medical Center Foundation. Established in 2011, Women of Hope identifies health issues in the Midlands and works to bring about positive change.
Proceeds from Wine on the River will help to develop the Research Room at Lexington Oncology, a Lexington Medical Center physician practice. The Research Room is a place for patients and family members to discuss clinical trials that may be beneficial to treat their type of cancer.
Lexington Medical Center’s cancer program is affiliated with Duke Medicine to provide state-of-the-art cancer care for cancer patients in our community.
