PGA of America's Charitable Foundation PGA REACH to serve as co-beneficiary of prestigious event

Local junior golfer Caleb Proveaux (Lexington, South Carolina) will be one of 54 participants to compete in the 2016 Junior Invitational at Sage Valley Golf Club presented by Electrolux, in Graniteville, South Carolina, from April 21-23. Recognized as one of the premier junior players in the world, Proveaux has been invited to participate in the prestigious event that attracts many of the game’s top-ranked junior golfers from around the globe on an annual basis.

The 2016 Junior Invitational features the largest International field in the event’s history, with competitors from 13 countries participating. The international field will be highlighted by Wocheng Ye, who at the age of 12 became the youngest golfer ever to qualify for a European Tour event, and Paul Chaplet, the 16-year-old Latin America Amateur Champion who will play in the Masters two-weeks prior to visiting Sage Valley. Cole Hammer, who last year was the third-youngest player in the history of the U.S. Open, rounds out the field at Sage Valley.

In addition to a 54-hole competitive tournament, the event features a charitable component with PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America, and The First Tee Aiken/The First Tee Augusta serving as co-beneficiaries.
