Public Hearing on I-26 Bridge Replacement Set for Tuesday
The drop-in meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at a church in West Columbia.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation has scheduled a public information meeting in Lexington County Tuesday concerning the proposed Rainbow Drive (S-365) bridge replacement over I-26.
The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Heritage Presbyterian Church Community Building at 2547 Rainbow Drive in West Columbia. The building is located behind the sanctuary, and guests are encouraged to park in the parking lot behind the sanctuary. The meeting will have a drop-in format with project displays available for viewing.
Informal written and verbal comments will be collected during the meeting. A brief presentation regarding the proposed project will be given at 6 p.m.

The purpose is to provide information and solicit feedback from area residents concerning the proposed Rainbow Drive bridge replacement, which is proposed in order to upgrade the existing structure that is structurally deficient and provide additional vertical clearance over I-26.
Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area.

Representatives from SCDOT will be available to answer questions.
