Sheriff: Pelion Man Exposed Privates To Girls at Walmart

It's the third time that Nathaniel Adam Orr, 26, has been charged with indecent exposure.

A registered sex offender awaiting trial for indecent exposure in his hometown of Pelion has been charged with showing his privates last week to two girls at the Walmart in Red Bank.

Nathaniel Adam Orr, 36, of 337 New Hope Church Road in Pelion, is accused of exposing himself in a girls clothing section to a 12-year-old and 14-year-old at the South Lake Drive department store on Feb. 15.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said deputies previously had arrested Orr on Dec. 17 on an arrest warrant that the Pelion Police Department obtained for Orr on a charge of indecent exposure.

Orr was released from the Lexington County Detention Center on Dec. 18 after posting a $5,000 bond. Orr is awaiting trial in that case.

Orr is required to register with the Sheriff’s Department as a convicted sex offender because of a 2009 indecent exposure conviction.

According to a press release from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, the arrest warrant alleges that at about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 15, Orr exposed his private part to customers while Orr stood in the clothing section for girls.

After Orr exposed his private part to them, the girls walked away to another section of the store, where the girls told the 12-year-old girl’s mother about the incident, Metts said. The 12-year-old girl’s mother reported the incident to a supervisor at the store. The supervisor at the store contacted the Sheriff’s Department about the incident.

Metts asked anyone with information about additional criminal activity involving Orr to contact the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Citizens also can provide information anonymously by accessing the Crime Tip link on the Sheriff’s Department web site (www.lexingtonsheriff.com).
