Town of Lexington Accepting Applications for Façade Grants
The grants will be used to spruce up the exterior of buildings on Lexington's Main Street.
Businesses along a stretch of Main Street in Lexington can apply for $5,000 grants from the Town of Lexington to spruce up the exterior of their buildings.
Applications for the town's Commercial Improvement Façade Grant Program are due Aug. 16. This year's program has 10 grants of $5,000 each available, for a total of $50,000.
Last year, the town awarded seven $5,000 grants in an effort to boost downtown revitalization. The first five grants that were awarded included ones to Rhoten's Country Store and the old Mae's on Main building.
