AuPairCare Celebrate International Au Pair and Host Family Day

Charleston, SC - August 27, 2015 AuPairCare, a leading au pair agency providing live-in child care services to American families, is hosting its 6th annual International Au Pair and Host Family Day September on 26th. Celebrated throughout the United States, International Au Pair and Host Family Day will be held in nearly 100 communities during September and October and will bring together local American families and au pairs from all over the world to share their culture and promote the benefits of international child care.

The locally-planned International Au Pair and Host Family Day events are free and open to all previous and current host families and au pairs, as well as local families who may want to learn more about the program. The Charleston event is being held at the Big Toy area in Palmetto Islands Count Park at 9:00 AM on September 26th and will feature fun and interactive activities for all ages.

“International Au Pair and Host Family Day events allow AuPairCare host families, au pairs and representatives the chance to interact with their community and celebrate a diversity of cultures from around the globe,” said Sarah McNamara, vice president of AuPairCare. “Welcoming an au pair into your home is more than just child care – it provides your children with a window to the world.”

Au pairs are young adults from countries around the world who live with families and provide live-in child care. Au pairs work flexible hours (up to 45 hours per week), have extensive child care experience, speak conversational English, and are 18-26 years old. The AuPairCare program offers affordable child care at an equivalent of $7.75 per hour, plus room and board, regardless of the number of children.
