The Mount Pleasant musician injured in a car accident in August is taking his first steps, according to Live 5 News.
Nick Collins Jr. has been confined to a hospital bed since the accident that eventually led to his leg being amputated. Speaking with the TV station, Collins said he's showing greater progress than expected.
"I was out for six or seven weeks and then for the next three weeks I couldn't talk," said Collins remembering back to the first days he woke up from a coma. "I'm still supposed to be in the ICU. I was projected to be in the hospital 18 months."
