Chesterbrook Academy(R) Preschool in Mount Pleasant Donates Mittens, Socks and Hats to Local Children in Need

Students collected the items for Carolina Youth Development Center in North Charleston to help children of all ages stay warm this winter

Chesterbrook Academy preschool in Mount Pleasant recently presented a donation of 85 pairs of mittens, as well as socks and hats, to Carolina Youth Development Center in North Charleston. Throughout December, students worked together to collect the donations as part of their mitten tree project. The items will help Charleston area infants, children and teens in need stay warm this winter. Students have been learning the importance of giving back to the community and helping others.

Carolina Youth Development Center’s mission is to empower and equip the community’s most vulnerable children by providing a safe environment, educational support and career readiness in collaboration with families and community partners. For additional information, visit www.cydc.org.
