
The South Carolina Women’s Business Center (SCWBC) will be offering a series of combined entrepreneurial, financial and networking courses this fall at the Charleston County Government’s Lonnie Hamilton, III Public Services Building located at 4045 Bridge View Drive in North Charleston.
The first workshop, Entrepreneurial Readiness, will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, in Suite B-339 of the County’s Public Services Building. Dates of future meetings will be announced once they are confirmed.
“This is an opportunity for potential business owners and current business owners to learn about building a strong foundation for their business,” said LaZana Porter, Administrative Assistant with Charleston County Government’s Minority/Women/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (M/W/DBE) Program.Â

The first, Oct. 15, program is free and the last two of the series will cost between $10 and $30 each depending on the topic. Advanced registration is encouraged, and can be done online at http://scwbc.net/ or in person at the South Carolina Women’s Business Center located at 129 Cannon Street in downtown Charleston. After attending one of the courses, participants can set up an appointment with a business counselor to specifically discuss their business and a plan of action.
