South Carolina Lightning Strike Leaves 4 Hurt
Isle of Palms fire officials say three adults had red streaks on their bodies. A child suffered a head injury after being dropped
ISLE OF PALMS, SC — Four people were hospitalized after a lightning strike on Isle of Palms.
Three adults and a small child were on the local boardwalk Sunday afternoon when the lightning hit, city Fire Chief Ann Graham. She said the adults had red streaks on their bodies and the child suffered a head injury after being dropped by one of the adults.

Isle of Palms is a coastal city about 40 miles east of Charleston. Graham says none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
