Putt-Putt Event Honors Life of Peyton Moore

Mount Pleasant 9-year-old died two months ago.

A fundraiser Sunday afternoon at Classic Golf in Mount Pleasant honored the life of Peyton Moore, 9, who died suddenly two months ago from complications related to epilepsy.

Following the youngster's untimely passing, his parents, Noah and Jennifer Moore, have started raising money to support causes and activities their son loved.

They have already funded a javelin school at the Park West Recreation Complex. That was Peyton's favorite sport. The family has not yet decided how they will use the proceeds from Sunday's event.

His father, Noah, told the Post and Courier that his son's birth inspired him to lose weight and engage in a healthier lifestyle. He's continuing his couch-to-5K running program, in which Peyton often participated.

Online, the Moores are sharing memories of their son through daily posts on a Facebook page, Payton's Page. Noah Moore's running classes also have a Facebook page.
