Towne Centre Opens Farmers Market Saturday

Mount Pleasant Towne Centre Farmers Market opens Saturday for the third season.

The weekly event is held each Saturday morning, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., May 11 through August 17, on Theatre Drive.  The market features in-season produce, specialty vendors, food artisans and giveaways.

Farmers include Freeman Produce, Big Smile Peaches and Gruber Farms offering a great selection and different variety of produce.  Specialty vendors include Carolina’s Harvest with fruit cobbler mixes, 78 Degrees and Sunny vending their salsas, dips, veggie chips and pickled vegetables, Carolina Crunch selling locally made granola, and more. The market also has hand-dyed fabrics, accessories and gluten-free meal items. Vendors rotate weekly, ensuring something new each week that you visit.

Opening weekend of the Farmers Market will feature a giveaway of sustainable tote bags which customers can then fill with offerings from the market vendors.
