- Bond was denied for the three men charged with killing two people near Grissom Parkway last week. The shooting deaths occurred during a drug deal, according to Myrtle Beach Police. (WMBF)
- Fire officials throughout Horry County are urging residents and visitors to be more mindful of the heat and the recent drought as a surge of fires has taken place here in recent days. With so many visitors, larger gatherings, and new homeowners in the Grand Strand area, fire officials are concerned. They have held safety sessions in one of the new neighborhoods, and are giving folks reminders about being careful in condos and hotels. (MyHorryNews.com)
- A Myrtle Beach convenience store sold a big winning ticket for the $4 million Mega Millions drawing last week. This is the second big winning ticket purchased in Myrtle Beach this month. The lucky store this time was the Circle K on River Oak Drive in Carolina Forest. (WBTW)
- Vice President Kamala Harris stopped in Greenville, SC Monday while on her nationwide tour designed to encourage more people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 ahead of the White House's goal date of July 4th. The Vice President spoke at a community center and toured a vaccination site. (WBTW)
- We all like the beach, and that includes gators, apparently. One big little guy decided to take a dip in the salt water near Damon's Restaurant last Friday. The alligator was rescued by Alligator Adventure and brought to their facility. Vacationer Kim Wallace of Kentucky took some video and photos of the reptile. (WBTW)
