Those families who would like to give their kids some inspiration regarding following their passions may want to stop by WonderWorks Myrtle Beach to see David Ankin speak. Ankin, founder of the hit television show and successful company ToyMakerz, will be speaking to kids, with a meet and greet taking place immediately after the talk. Passionate about giving back and inspiring youth, Ankin will be talking to kids about turning their dreams into reality. The talk will begin at 11:00 a.m. on April 14, 2018, at 1313 Celebrity Circle in Myrtle Beach. The presentation is free, open to the public, and will be held outside the building.
“I love kids and it’s a great feeling to be able to give back by spending time with them and hopefully inspiring them to follow their dreams,” says Ankin, inventor and star of the hit show ToyMakerz. “WonderWorks is a great place for exploring STEM education and letting the imagination run wild. It’s a place where learning and fun go hand in hand, making it the perfect place to team up with to give my presentation.”
Ankin will begin the WonderWorks event by giving a 30-minute talk about following your dreams, followed by a 20-minute question and answer segment with the kids. The event will finish up with a 30-minute session of kids being able to take photos with one of his custom rides and him, and get autographs. While the outdoor event with Ankin is free, regular admission prices do apply for those who wish to go into WonderWorks before or after the event.

Knowing firsthand the importance of following passions, Ankin successfully turned his into a career. His love for custom-built cars and racing toys that are built for speed has led to the creation of ToyMakerz, where he creates one-of-a-kind street toys and hot rods that can be used on racetracks and for pure fun. Not only did he follow his passion, but in doing so he has helped many adults to relive their youth, and has inspired many others to follow their dreams. ToyMakerz was also turned into a hit television show, where viewers can tune in to see him work his magic in creating toys and putting them to the test.

ToyMakerz was founded by David Ankin, who is a former stuntman who used to do stunts with motorcycles, racecars, and also at Universal Studios for their Batman and Water World shows. Watching his father use metal to build things when he was growing up inspired him to go on to do the same. Today, he has earned praise for the eccentric one-of-kind street machines that he’s built. There is nothing idle about his work. Ankin has surrounded himself with a top-notch team, starting with David Young, who is his business partner. Young manages the business side of ToyMakerz and serves as its President and CFO.
