(SURFSIDE BEACH, South Carolina)-A family business has opened locally. The Cummings family of Pawleys Island – Michael and Kathryn and two of their sons, Jeff and Bryan – have all come together for a common cause and they couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity. This local Floor Coverings International franchise location serves clients along the Grand Strand from North Myrtle Beach to Georgetown including Myrtle Beach, Conway, Socastee, Surfside Beach, Garden City, Murrell’s Inlet, Litchfield, Pawleys Island, Prince George and Debordieu.

Each of the family members involved is bringing a different and valuable skill set to the family’s newest venture. They are visiting customers’ homes throughout the Grand Strand in a Mobile Flooring Showroom stocked with thousands of flooring samples from top manufacturers. “We are now a family-owned business with my wife and two of our sons working together to build a great company focused on providing excellent, high-quality products and services to our neighbors, friends and local community,” Michael Cummings said.

For experience, Michael spent more than 25 years in engineering, research and development, corporate sales and marketing management. Kathryn, meanwhile, started, owned and managed a scrapbooking store in Wexford, Pa. Jeff has worked as a counselor with autistic children and Bryan is a marketing major at Coastal Carolina University. “After a long, successful career, I wanted to leave the corporate world and use the experience, skills and knowledge gained over the years to build a legacy for our family,” Michael said. “My wife has always enjoyed design and this business caters to her creativity. Jeff has always enjoyed serving the community and we are looking forward to putting Bryan’s newly acquired marketing skills to good use.”
